The FlyLab Focus is a custom European Nymphing Reel designed to balance longer rods, not catch a euro line in the frame and spin freely for fast retrieves - all whilst being stylish enough so it's comfortable on a podium, just like you.

FlyLab Focus Reel - Thank you for the great customer service and prompt delivery of my order to the USA. There are a couple of disappointments with the new Focus euro nymph reel: 1) tightening up of the drag negatively impacts the free spin of the reel on a slap retrieve of any loose line. The tighter the drag, the less free spin capability., and 2) the spool does no fit tightly into the frame and therefore easily wobbles when you hold the reel and try and flex the spool within in the frame (more than any reel I have ever held). This is a sure sign of problems in the design and machined tolerances in manufacturing. If this can be corrected, the Fly Lab Focus would be a very good reel.
