"The Sky G rod is impressive in all aspects of casting. It was worth breaking the old rod!" - I really enjoy using the rod, it lives up to all my expectations, Responsive, sensitive, a pleasure to use and own. I have fly fished for 54 years starting with cane through fiberglass to the ultimate carbon rod. It was worth breaking my thirty year old Sage 3 # 5 light line, now resting after repairs!

Great bit of kit

Great bit of kit - I was astounded at just how light this 6 wt rod was, but how relatively easy it was to cast with. 30 kph winds and rain at Turangi made for difficult conditions, but the rod, paired with Scientific Anglers MPX line, gave me a fighting chance. I think my other 6 wt rod might be gathering dust from now on!

The choice was pretty easy in the end

The choice was pretty easy in the end - Shop Comment - we sent Jude an Orvis Helios F #6 to compare with the Sky G - this is what he said - 'Had a cast at the park and have decided to keep the Douglas. They are both beautiful rods, but the Douglas is just so light, responsive, crisp and powerful that the choice was pretty easy in the end (although I did love the Orvis too). '
