A 'hybrid' head that bridges the gap between Skagit and Scandi heads. Its thick tip and aggressive taper will turn over almost any leader/fly combination available. In sizes to suit trout spey and on up to heavy #8 weights
Too often we heard the cry for a line that cast like our Skagit Compact, but fishes as a straight floater. So, working with Tom Larimer, we developed the new Rage Compact. This addition to the Skagit family keeps you in the 'Floating' game under extremely windy and tight quarter casting situations.
Its aggressive front taper gives ultimate power for driving casts into the strongest winds, the rear taper helps load quickly, giving you incredible control in tight casting conditions.
Six sizes from 330 to 480 grains, and lengths of 27’ to 30’ make matching the proper size to almost any two-handed rod easy and succinct. The front loop has the line size printed on it for easy recognition.
As with all Tactical Shooting heads, built on our low stretch, low memory braided Power Core.

GREAT LINE - Tried out the 420gr on a couple of rods; 11' 6wt switch and 13' 6wt spey. A sinktip of 8-10' length makes spey casting on both rods a pleasant experience, easily sending 75-90' of line beautifully. The switch setup will also, if required, o/head cast a similar distance, with a shorter sinktip (or none). Line loads the rod well in both cases without feeling like you are chucking 'bombs'. Turns over a Parsons Glory of Hammill's Killer size 6 easily on leader 6-9' long.

AWESOME - On a 6wt switch 11’ or Spey 13’ this line at 420 or 450 gr effortlessly moves 75-90 feet of line including 10’ sink tip of 6ips material. On the switch rod, the same line casts conventionally single handed with a 3-4’ sinktip attached. Leader length 5-9’ with streamer Parsons Glory size 8. Superb. 6 wt switch will nymph, bomb in a cicada, swing streamers and fish a stream / river delta.
