My pick for some useful flies for early season - Decemeber
Adams Parachute	Blue Dun	CDC Emerger (Deleatidium)	Dads Favourite
Kakahi Queen	November start to see these fellows hatching sporadically. They like stable headwater streams with a stone bottom. Their distinctive yellow wing patch makes them easily identifiable and the fish like them too!
Hamills Killer	Mrs Simpson	Woolly Buggers
High country lakes are open, these (above) three are consistent producers
Spent Spinner (Deleatidum)	Copper John Rubber Leg TB	Hare & Copper Gold Tungsten	Stone Fly Rubber Leg Tungsten
Hare & Copper	Pheasant Tail	Pogo Nymph - Stu's	Stone Fly Nymphs Carty's
Early season often see good hatches of may flies and so far this season there have been some good ones. The Adams Parachute is a great first choice for these fish, and if that doesn't work the others here probably will. And if they aren't rising then a gold bead Hare and Copper will interest them, don't forget the gold beads work well early season until the fish start to get wise to them! On back country rivers stone flies work well...  Good Luck
