The answer - I have put these on a pair of Simms Tribuataries that I bought specifically for putting studs on. The Tribs have a stitched sole on a solid last. I used 11 studs per boot - so needed two packs of these studs. They are absolutely brilliant. If your boots have modern molded soles, any studs probably won't stay in. The screw heads need to reach the last of the boot.

Wading socks - Good fitting, strong and comfortable. Easy to pull on and slides off well at the end of the day. I've only worn them for 5 or 6 days, but there is no sign of wear at all. I expect I'll enjoy them for years to come.

Best product for slushies - I always tie eggs with a soft material and have been using Flybox Eggstacy but this is actually superior and I now have it in several sizes and colours

Best Bobbin on the market - I have two of these now and I think they are far and away the best you can get

Solarflex up skins - Yes I like them although I found the sizes I tried way out went down a full size before we found the right fit .comfortable to wear think they do the job.

I prefer brass to tungsten - I prefer brass to tungsten, because if you need it to be heavier just use a couple of turns of lead substitute wire. Sometimes it pays to have different colour beads from the usual gold colour on your nymphs, so also look at tying a few using black, copper and other colours

Make great eyes - these beads make great eyes and are light enough to use on damsel dry flies.
