The tip
has been designed to unload as one, this means that the loop is
'tightened up' A tighter loop cuts through the air better (less
resistance from the air) and there's a better delivery of power to the
leader so your fly delivery improves.
Observing
the rod in action it was noticeable that an angler when given the XLS to
try, that there was an immediate and noticeable reduction in loop in size!!
