The the process used to make these tungsten beads results in a very pure product, however pure tungsten is more brittle and the beads can shatter if you flick rocks on your back cast. So if you find you are losing beads off your flies adjust you back cast, send your line more up into the air above any rocks and you'll lose fewer beads
