STROFT® GTM is No.1 among monofilament fishing lines. It was declared the overall best fishing line by the TÜV in Munich (similar to USA's UL) after extensive tests. For this product, the tuning emphasis is clearly on the tensile strength while simultaneously achieving highly resilient suppleness. This has been worked on in past years, and will continue to be worked on also in the future. The corresponding development results then flow into mass production after an extensive test phase. We are dealing here to a great extent with modifications of what is already a multi-leveled tempering process. Thus the abbreviation GTM ("Getempertes Monofil": tempered monofilament). By tempering, we mean a supplementary heat treatment at exactly fixed time and temperature levels. This process removes material stresses that formed during extrusion, cooling and drawing. At the same time, a sealing and compression of the surface takes place by a diffusion of silicon and PTFE molecules
