The Royal Wulf; This is a great dry fly pattern for New Zealand conditions. It catches so many fish throughout the summer period, particularly rainbows who just can't resist it. This highly visible fly works well in all sizes, with the larger sizes useful as an indicator fly, tie a nymph on underneath from the bend of the hook.
