I've been thinking of making up a dubbing block to tie dubbing brushes for a while. But, being all thumbs, I knew it was destined to end up like a dog's breakfast.
So, when a non fly fishing, mad inventor mate of mine offered to make one for me I jumped at the chance. Here's how it turned out. Works a treat too

Heaps more work than need be - but nice cabinetry Old Boy - seriously as one who was in the trade . Best of all you have commissioned it yourself and it will work a treat.
Mine is much much simpler. Just a channel in a piece of NZ hard wood AKA the humble length of Rimu, 4 brads to hold things and my hook is in the chuck of the cordless drill.
Sure yours will work as intended though Kym ;-) Enjoy those wire brush bodies.

Good evening Kym Great idea, adding a 'lid' to the dubbing spinner ! Thanks and now I will build a model like yours, my earler spinner was like Andy's, but you concept is mile ahead. Thanks, as I hadn't thought of adding a 'lid'.
Kind regards, Barry

Credit where credit's due. The dubbing block was built for me by "Dr" Chris Block from the Institute of Backyard Studies. http://www.ibys.org/shed/ Follow the link and see a picture of him holding one of his other inventions - the Handy Hanky. Check them out. Every bloke should have one
