This is a pretty epicly noob question, but I've never bought hackles in this form before. Picked up a #2 Microbarb Saddle dyed black today from work. Is this appropriate for tying dries? The sizing is correct, but the flies (which admittedly is quite an experimental pattern) do not seem to float very well. If this isn't appropriate for dries can someone recommend something that would be?

Sweet. Thanks for the reply. I think it was more a fault in the design of 'Blow Me'. It will be revised before the swap, don't worry.
