I once saw a article in Fish an Game about bizarre catches but I believe that only the surface has been scratched on this one

I caught a puffer fish on a fly rod while fishing for small G.T.'s around the pylons in Noosa. It was a slightly unusual experience.

Not sure it qualifies but as a kid with old fiberglass 8wt I caught an small alligator out of the small lake we lived by. I was fishing for bass and the little guy snuck up on my popper.

I caught a stingray on a 2 wt while chasing mullet. There's a picture of it in the dictionary under the definition of "wtf"

Pair of sunglasses... They put up a fair fight in the rip current... Pair of discarded undies...... Nuff said. A very annoyed cattle beast. That was a long line release.

I hooked a heifer one evening on a back cast - had a hell of a job trying to turn her.
