Hook size?
Is the tail tied on hook shank and with the bend and point cut off, or on a thick nylon extension?

Thanks, the tail is on a hook with the point cut off like you say... Back hook is a TMC200R #10 with a B830 #6... total length just under 50mm About the same size as the average bully in Lake Dunstan

Awesome. I really like those - they look very very fishy.
I tried something like that a while back. But I had no cheap hooks, so tied the rear on 50# mono.
Works ok, but far too fiddly.
Will need some buy some cheap hooks and cut the point off I think.

#4 Hook Tail tied on 50lb mono total length just over 2"
No trout were harmed in the development of this fly... yet...
