These work really well on the 'Coast lakes.   Accounted for a lot of fish over there. The white antron wing stands out well in the chop along the edges when the breeze comes up.   Team it with a small red midge hanging under it about 18 inches, and you're in!

I like that Johnno. Would you mind listing what materials you used? I'm one my way back to Afghanistan and that may be my first project once I get settled.

I've used blue mylar/black elk hair/...just curious what you are using. Thanks.

Cheers,JD

Hi,

My favourite tinsel for Blowfly Humpy bodies is the Uni-Mylar Peacock/Orange. The Peacock colour is greeny and bluey so I figure it covers the blowfly bases. Don't know if it's more effective than plain blue but it works just as well and looks nicer to me :-).

Regards,

Jo

You onto it JD, Moose mane tail, blue Mylar, white La Fontaine Antron wing, black hackle and foam back.

And as Jo points out, the peacock/green of the Mylar he is talking about is a good colour too.
