Sorry.   Forget it Stu, found your instructions.  It is spanflex...

Sorry for the delay, just bought a house bugger all time for anything at the moment.
Wet T-Shirt caddis
Hook  Black Magic  caddis (I now use the "G" range)
         Sizes 18 -8
Thread  Black Uni-Thread 8/0
Weight .10 lead wire
Under body Olive Uni-Floss
Over body   Cream Uni-Floss
Rib     Clear mono
Head  Dark Ostrich

when this fly gets wet the top layer goes translucent and allows the under colour to be revealed, hence the name. I have tried just tying them in olive, but they don't seem to work as well.

Hi, Upstream/Stu..
The freeliving Caddis (Hydrobiosis)  Pattern:  CZ Nymph
Globalflyfisher...or Thomas Zullich...All vertually the same

I use the same Pattern For the "Green Caddis" &" Grey Caddis"  Hooks are either Tiemco Tmc 2575   # 6
 and the smaller sized Blk Mag.."G"  or "B110"  #8  - #10
They are weighted to get down and are one of the main
Patterns used  all yr round on   Wairau.. with Mikes Wet tee
Shirt or  Caddis Pupa following unweighted..
The clear pastic is good for the top of the fly  /felt pen nr thorax.. ..Change dubbing to get a dark brown/black thorax
and prick down for legs..
   Works well
