Nelson & Malborough

There are 5 major river systems with there numerous tributaries; The highly rated  Buller, Motueka and Wairau river systems and the Pelorous, and to the south east the Clarence. The Nelson/Marlborough region offers some of the best and most easily accessible brown trout fishing in the country. The variety of water is huge and it make this area a prime destination for anglers.

Selections should include stone flies, plenty of terrestrials, a mouse or two, and the usual mayfly and caddis imitations
