West Coast
The West Coast could be described as the last frontier in NZ fly fishing. The area is lowly populated, rugged, wet and mostly forested except for the developed farmland. And because of this the predominately brown trout fishery is very good. The region has some outstanding remote wilderness fisheries which require a long walk or dipping your hand into your pocket for a helicopter ride. Of course there are many more easily accessible rivers and some good still water fisheries. | |||||
